Each of us learns math differently and Videos just aren’t enough for everyone. Participating in a LIVE workshop gives you the opportunity to ASK QUESTIONS and have the ANSWER DEMONSTRATED IMMEDIATELY.
This Workshop is LIVE
This isn’t a large group webinar where you just sit there and watch me do math problems. In this SMALL GROUP workshop where you’ll be with only 6 other students. You can take your time, relax and build your math skills in a stress free environment.
This workshop is offered over two weeks (2sessions per week for two weeks) The current dates are March 2,4,9 and 11, 2021, 10:30am -12:00pm EST
In four sessions you’ll regain your confidence in working with:
- Positive and negative numbers
- Decimals, including repeating decimals and rounding
- Fractions, including mixed numbers and ratio and proportion
- Exponents
- Mental math
Stronger Math Skills can help you with:
- Managing everyday life tasks, including budgeting, helping with children’s homework, and contributing to community activities.
- Entering or advancing in the workforce, including preparation for entry-level positions and qualification for mid-level positions or technical/credentialed positions.
- Obtaining a GED or another secondary school credential.
- Preparing for further education in a certificate or academic degree program.
Work with me LIVE as I solve problems for every single type of math problem. We’ll start from the beginning… in this small group workshop, I explain the problem setup, the steps I take and why I take them. Also I demonstrate how to work through the fuzzy middle parts, and how to check your final answer.
After each session I’ll send Notes of each lesson. This is your opportunity to practice on your own and work on the most important concepts. Remember everything you need to know to pass meet your goals and nothing you don’t.
Worktext: You can review everything you’ve learned by working through the bonus worktexts. These worktexts include tons of extra practice problems and are a great way to reinforce what you just learned in that section.
The Master the Fundamentals of Basic Math workshop is a small group session (7-students MAX) designed to reinforce the concepts ADULTS need to master to be confident in basic math. Each workshop session runs 2-weeks. We’ll meet 2 times each week for a total of four sessions.
During these LIVE -90 min sessions, I will not only demonstrate HOW to do the problem but WHY a particular technique was chosen.
Learn HOW TO SAVE TIME by recognizing the KEY INFORMATION in a question and how to use speedy calculation techniques to solve a problem.
Who is For?: Adults who need a math refresher of basic math skills and want more help than just watching videos. We’ll start from the beginning and work our way up.
Why Participate: To do well in math – YOU MUST PRACTICE MATH! YOU MUST LEARN HOW TO USE THE TOOLS. This small group workshop was created to give students wanting more practice the opportunity to work with a live tutor and ask questions. The more time students spend practicing working and recognizing the concepts the better the result.
When will it be held: For your convenience, this workshop is offered over two weeks (2sessions per week for two weeks) Tuesday/Thursday mornings 10:30am -12:00pm EST

We also offer Tuesday evenings.
Where will it be conducted: Live online classroom. Please take a moment to view the online demo room. It is a LIVE empty virtual class. I don’t use ZOOM, so please take a moment to play around in the empty class. It is a LIVE room so there may be other people checking it out as well.
Where will teach the workshop: Math Tutor TJ. Tjaye has been a mathematics educator for over 15 years and has proven track record of student success.
What will I receive? Immediately after registration you will receive your login information for the class and your first worktext. After each session I’ll send over session notes to help reinforce what we covered during the day. Furthermore, math will no longer be an obstacle.
